Dr. Connor Ziegler Attended the Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation (IOF) and The Orthobiologics Institute (TOBI) Joint Conference

Posted on: July 31st, 2026 by Our Team

Dr. Connor Ziegler recently attended the IOF MAX with TOBI joint conference in Denver, Colorado, joining physicians, researchers, and other leaders in orthobiologics and regenerative medicine for an intensive program focused on advancing musculoskeletal health, healing, and recovery.

The landmark event brought together the Interventional Orthobiologics Foundation (IOF) and The Orthobiologics Institute (TOBI), two organizations committed to education and innovation in orthobiologic medicine. Its program featured evidence-based research, expert presentations, panel discussions, and hands-on educational opportunities covering the evolving use of biologic treatments for orthopedic injuries and conditions.

Orthobiologics are substances derived from the body that may be used to support its natural healing processes. Treatments such as platelet-rich plasma and bone marrow–derived preparations are being studied and applied across a growing range of musculoskeletal conditions. Because the science and clinical guidance surrounding these treatments continue to develop, specialized conferences provide physicians with valuable opportunities to examine emerging evidence, refine techniques, and discuss appropriate patient selection.

For Dr. Ziegler, attending the conference was a natural extension of his commitment to thoughtful, evidence-informed care. A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, he specializes in sports medicine, shoulder and knee surgery, arthroscopy, joint preservation, and regenerative orthobiologic treatments.

Dr. Ziegler earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota before completing his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Connecticut. He subsequently pursued fellowship training in orthopedic sports medicine at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado. His academic work includes peer-reviewed research addressing orthopedic surgery, sports injuries, and orthobiologics.

The IOF and TOBI joint conference offered an important forum for evaluating new research and exchanging ideas with experts from around the world. Discussions explored the latest scientific findings, treatment protocols, image-guided techniques, and practical considerations involved in incorporating orthobiologics into musculoskeletal care.

Participation in events of this caliber helps physicians remain current in a rapidly developing field. It also supports a careful approach to new treatments—one that considers the available scientific evidence, the individual patient’s health, condition, and goals, and the full range of surgical and nonsurgical options.

This perspective complements Vitality Health’s broader focus on helping patients improve their health, recovery, and overall well-being through personalized care. Musculoskeletal health does not exist in isolation. Movement, strength, nutrition, sleep, hormonal balance, and other aspects of wellness can all play meaningful roles in a person’s ability to remain active and recover from physical challenges.

Dr. Ziegler’s attendance reflects a philosophy that high-quality care begins with understanding the individual rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all solution. Regenerative treatments, conventional orthopedic care, healthy lifestyle choices, and other supportive therapies must each be considered within the larger context of a patient’s needs and long-term wellness goals.

By engaging with current research and collaborating with colleagues at the forefront of orthobiologic medicine, Dr. Ziegler continues to expand the knowledge and clinical perspective he brings to patient care. His participation in the IOF MAX with TOBI conference reinforces an ongoing commitment to scientific rigor, professional education, and personalized approaches to healing and recovery.
